Pretty fucking scary. The book was great and Nicholson really brought it to life. There are no complaints, worth checking out.

This is probably the best adabtion of a book I've ever seen. Jack Nicholes is superb as Jack Torrence, who's very small outburst(HERESSSSS JOHNNY!)is one of the best known horror phrases ever(which didn't realy make sence at first, because his nam in Jack)
But, when theres a psycho on the loose, I don't think anyone would try to correst him, and young Danny Lloyd as the child with 'The Shining' is a great joy to watch when he is talking to his finger, or Tony as he is known to Danny.
If you ever want a movie that will shock more then horrify, like all the terrible movies from these day's, then you have to go for The Shining
