Seven Review(s)
Reviewer: Roberta Bonem Reviewer Rating:

The main characters are for the most part stock personalities who form a backdrop for the complicated and creeply lush sets that form the basis of the main theme of the story: a serial killer who choses his victims based on the 7 deadly sins, and then goes about torturing them based on their sin. Anticipating his next creative effort is what the movie is all about. In the end it is all about a medieval absolutist moral world: flawed people get what they deserve even if it's wrong according to the modern world. You know, yes it's a serial killer, but darn if he doesn't know a thing or two about the inherent evil of humanity! Even a cop whose angry disposition is just plain in need of punishment. So clever a film, so litrary and so cynicial; ah, so Holloywood
